Immigration Law Clinic
International House's Immigrant Advocacy Project (IAP) offers affordable assistance with general U.S. immigration law matters to eligible clients. IAP assists our international community by providing access to an immigration attorney and other resources to guide people through the complexity of U.S. immigration law. All of these services and resources uniquely position us to reach out to some of our most vulnerable residents, and reduce their victimization by unscrupulous interests that offer ineffective immigration assistance without proper training or qualifications.

Who is eligible?:
IAP provides legal assistance in immigration matters to individuals and families of all nationalities who qualify for services based on their income, place of residence, eligibility for CIS benefits, and type of case. Low-income residents (i.e. those earning less than 185% of federal poverty guidelines) living in the greater Charlotte area who qualify for some CIS benefit may be eligible for our services. Clients will be required to submit some proof of income, residence, and eligibility for CIS benefit to qualify.
