Center for International Diversity and Immigrant Advocacy Programs

Assist in a variety of services & programs, such as the language Conversation Hours, English Tutor Program & the Immigrant Advocacy Program. We are looking for volunteers to help us in the office by providing direct services to "walk-ins" and provide clerical assistance to our clients.

 
Citizen Diplomacy Programs International Visitors Leadership Program
 
  • Home Hospitality - Host 1-10 visitors in your home for dinner - A great way to meet fascinating international visitors!
  • Professional Resource - Share your knowledge and expertise in your field with a professional visiting from another country.
  • Programming - Help plan & implement international visitor itineraries.
  • Transportation - Provide transportation to international visitors - to and from the airport, to professional meetings - a great way to get to know international visitors
    Visitor Hospitality - Take an international visitor for a meal in a restaurant, on a shopping trip, to a play, a sporting event or other cultural activities.
 
Community Connections
 
  • Business Hosting - Practical training opportunities in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County for English-speaking entrepreneurs. Internship opportunities are matched with participants based on interests & experience.
  • Home Hosting - We are looking for individuals or families willing to host Russian visitors in their homes during their stay in Charlotte.
