Join our Rising Readers team for the Summer of 2019!

To learn more about this program, visit our Rising Readers page.

The Rising Readers program prevents summer reading and learning loss for approximately 300-400 rising first through third-grade students in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) who have been identified as Limited English Proficient (LEP).

Each Rising Reader classroom will have a lead teacher and at least two tutors that help implement the curriculum, · provide literacy instruction, facilitate small group activities, monitor student progress, and evaluate whole-child performance to determine student achievement.

For 2019 we have added a fourth school to our program and are looking for even more tutors. We need half-day and full-day tutors that will commit to tutoring Monday-Thursday, June 17 - July 25th for a stipend.
