The Ginter Immigration Law Clinic at International House helps support immigrants on a pathway to citizenship.
WHO DO WE SERVE?

Refugees, asylees, and other low-income immigrants within our scope of work (see below what types of cases we accept and guidance for household income).

To be eligible for our services, you must be low-income and reside in one of the following counties of North Carolina: Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Caldwell, Catawba, Cleveland, Davidson, Gaston, Iredell, Rowan, Stanly, Lincoln, and Union.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

We do not charge refugees and asylees in certain types of cases (this does not include USCIS fees).

Unhoused individuals are served pro-bono.

For fee paying clients, cost is determined by the type of case and household income: We serve families whose income is below 200% of HHS Poverty Guidelines per household size. In some cases, we will consider taking the case with household income between 200% and 300% of Poverty.

We open more than 500 new cases annually.
Of those we file, 95% are approved.
