Immigration Law Clinic

My life changed because of International House. My life is better. Without family, life is a house without light. It’s dark all the time. From dark to light - that is what International House did for my life.

WHO DO WE SERVE?

  • Refugees, asylees, and other low-income immigrants within our scope of work (see below what types of cases we accept and guidance for household income).

  • To be eligible for our services, you must be low-income and reside in one of the following counties of North Carolina: Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Caldwell, Catawba, Cleveland, Davidson, Gaston, Iredell, Rowan, Stanly, Lincoln, and Union.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

  • We do not charge refugees and asylees in certain types of cases (this does not include USCIS fees).

  • Unhoused individuals are served pro-bono.

  • For fee paying clients, cost is determined by the type of case and household income: We serve families whose income is below 200% of HHS Poverty Guidelines per household size. In some cases, we will consider taking the case with household income between 200% and 300% of Poverty.
