This event is filled with local international entertainment, celebrating different regions of the world, while understanding the impact International House has on our Charlotte neighbors.

Our third annual Tapas & Testimonials was amazing!
This year, Chinobay, a Ugandan musician, welcomed our guest as they entered Tapas and Testimonials, we enjoyed delicious food from the Mediterranean to Asia, saw magnificent dancing lions from Thundering Wave Martial Arts., and listened to stories from people we've helped.
Thank you to all of our community members, colleagues, and friends, who joined us for this special night.

Our Testimonial this year was Binti Muzuri Tady from the Democratic Republic of Congo. We were honored to showcase the positive impact that International House had on her journey.
Her story and her words were followed by a spontaneous and heart-driven standing ovation. We hope you will feel the same when you watch her video here. International House helps immigrants and international culture thrive in our community and we are proud to be part of Binti's story.

Haile Ghebreslasie is from the small East African country of Eritrea, and at International House’s 2023 Tapas & Testimonials event told the story of his long and complicated journey to the United States. He was accompanied at the event by his wife, Filimawit, and daughter, Heiran, who both joined him in the United States on September 2, 2023, after ten long years of separation.

2023 Tapas & Testimonials Attendee
2022 was the year of our first Tapas & Testimonials!
Guests tasted international cuisine from Greece to the Caribbean and bid on silent auction items, including internationally themed gift baskets and artwork from The Journey. There was a mariachi band, bagpipes player, and DJ taking turns sharing the stage on the Mint Museum lawn.
