2024 Spring Mailer

Dear Friend,

As I write this, I can hear the birds chirping and the squirrels running about; my dogs are sleeping in the sunbeams filling the room. The hope of spring is in the air, and my favorite IH picture comes to mind. I have probably shared this picture before and will likely share it again, because when I am overwhelmed - all I can do is pause, look at that smile and know that every single challenge is worth it!

There are indeed challenges ahead; I recently learned from several of our government funding sources that their support will be decreasing, some as early as June! However, I know we can weather this

storm because we have a supportive community. We have you!

So, I kindly ask that you consider providing support this Spring so we can move forward without making programmatic changes.

Here are some ways your investment makes a difference:

A $125.00 donation supports a refugee family with community navigation services (The Hub)

or provides a child with after-school tutoring for the school year (Rising Up).

A $442.00 gift will ensure an adult immigrant acquires English so they can pursue better employment (Adult ESL Classes), or a family is reunified through the support of our immigration legal clinic.

An investment of $1,214.00 will send one child to summer literacy camp (Rising Up) for six weeks where they will increase their literacy skills while also receiving snacks, lunch, and enrichment.

No matter the size of your gift, collectively, all those who donate this spring will ensure that we do not have to make programming cuts this summer or fall.

I thank you in advance for your generosity.

With gratitude,

Autumn Weil

Executive Director

Did you know that we accept gifts of stock and donor advised fund grants? You can be part of our legacy story through a planned gift as well. For more information on how to give through these means, please email me at or speak with your financial advisor.
