We are so very excited to be able to share with our community that Citizen Diplomacy Program Former Intern Tatyana Simmons has been selected as a USA Youth Ambassador for the World’s Fair Expo 2020 in Dubai. Tatyana Interned with CDP in the fall semester of 2020. She is a graduate of UNC Charlotte with degrees in International Studies and Italian and is currently in Graduate School at UNC Greensboro.
The U.S. Department of State announced the selection of 75 USA Pavilion Youth Ambassadors who will represent the United States at the next World’s Fair, Expo 2020 Dubai, opening on October 1, 2021. The Department, in partnership with Global Ties U.S., recruited these young American leaders through a highly competitive nationwide process. The 75 Youth Ambassadors represent 37 states, studying at 78 U.S. universities and colleges, and speaking 24 languages.
