Hispanic entrepreneurship and its role in Charlotte's business community

Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI), a fellowship program that empowers emerging business and social entrepreneurs from across Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada, and the United States fellows met with Prospera during their visit. Prospera is an economic development nonprofit that specializes in advancing Hispanic businesses.

The fellows met with the organization's Business Development Consultant, Carlos Zepeda to discuss empowering Hispanic entrepreneurs and receive feedback on their current plans and operations. The discussion touched on how their company's practices have changed during the pandemic and ways to market their business pitches more effectively. We are grateful to Prospera's Carlos Zepeda and Eley Festger for their participation in our discussion! Our YLAI fellows learned more about Charlotte's Hispanic business community and the work Prospera does to guide upcoming entrepreneurs.
