Join us next week at the Belk Theater for Fiddler on the Roof. This classic play has been reimagined but is still as relevant today as it was when it first hit the stage in the 1960s. Fiddler on the Roof follows a Jewish family in Imperial Russia as they fight over traditional versus modern values when it comes to love and marriage. The audience sees Tevye the father trying to arrange marriages for his daughters while they argue for love matches and to choose their own suitors. As the father fights to maintain the traditions of his faith with his headstrong daughters we also see the effect of Imperial Russia on Tevya, his family, and his village as they are forced to leave by the Russians.
International House has been offered the amazing opportunity to partner with Blumenthal Performing Arts and the cast of Fiddler on the Roof, as they express their compassion and concern for our international community.
